hi

i bought a pivot water temp gauge and installed it this morning as per the pivot directions. its the type that works off the factory sensor.

i wired accesory power, illumination, ecu ground and then to the water temp pin on the ecu(i got this pin from the pivot manual, but havent looked at a nissan pinout yet). i made sure the 4 switches on the back of the gauge were all set to the nissan position also

i then connected the battery back up, switched it on and the starter doesnt even kick.

when the key gets to the "on" position some thing in the ecu clicks. but nothing happens.

engine and loom are from an r33

i have restored it back to how it was with nothing connected and still doesnt turn on, so what should i be looking at first?

is it possible that something in the ecu has just fried or a relay?

thanks
