JD_R33
Try turning off your climate control completely and see if the noise stops. There is an actuator in there that makes the critter noises when it is shagged, seems to be fairly common on our aging Skylines. Fixing it is a real PITA if that's the problem. (B1) MR_fanny
does it sound like a hard drive reading? my car will do it every time the tank hits below 1/4 full. and the sound comes from the speedo cluster not the centre console dash. mosquitocoils
Mine does it too, regardless of the climate control being on or off. It's more likely to happen first thing in the morning though... I've been told by a mechanic that it's to do with the vents that circulate the air into the cabin... Do they circulate fresh air even when climate control is off? (B1) MR_fanny
are all your noises coming from the centre console or the speedo cluster? mines from the speedo cluster that sounds like critters, the noise from the climate control is a knock knock sound not critter sound.
