As per usual the North/West crew will be doing our weekly meet at Baskin & Robbins Chapel Hill, but instead of the usual sit down and eat session, we will instead be cruising to the South (Sunnybank) and going for dinner at a mate's restaurant. This will be followed by a short trek to the carwash for some skin on metal loving.

I'd like to invite any inner wesssayeeders to come along to the meet at Baskin and Robins Indooroopilly (along moggill road, across the road from Shell and Lexus) at about 6:00pm - 6:30pm. If you're down south then you can join us about an hour later around 7:30pm. The restaurant is located on the corner of Warrigal Road and Padstow Road Eight Mile Plains. There's a carpark at the shopping village sorta thing where we can all park.

As per usual, this is a social event, no skids or races. If this format proves popular then we'll look at running it weekly or fortnightly for the pleasurement of West and South people. It gives you a good chance to meet and talk to other large members, although if you run SR20's, fail fitment or lolfag veilside bodykits, we might have a sniggle at your expense.

I'm in!

The meeting spot @ sunnybank will be Corner of Warrigal Road and Padstow Road Eight miles plains!

in the at little complex of food shops there.. looking diagonally over the roundabout will be the BP if that gives you good grounding!

Initial meet will be at Baskin and Robins Indooroopily along moggil road boarder of kenmore across the road from Shell and Lexus! @ 6 - 6.30 pm

o.O You should come to the south side more often! I dont know which restaurant we're going to though. The only place I've been to at that place is "Shiok", which is a Malaysian/Singaporean restaurant.

Well ...........

My maiden voyage to meet you all ended in many swear words and tears tonight! lol :)

Dont think i was a no show ........

My night began at 5pm when i left North Lakes. I gave myself plenty of time, well thats what i thought! I kid you not, it took me 2 hours, thats right, 2 hours of clawing my way through traffic to get over to you all. I keep on my merry way but obviously assumed you had all gone by now. I finally round the bend with baskins in sight only to miss the turn cause i havent been there before. This was now about 7 pm. So as im stuffing around figuring out what im gonna do, i see what i assume to be you all, about 4 or so cars pulling out at the lights! OMG i yelled they are still here!

Im still stuck trying to turn around and by the time i did, you had all sped off into the night! So by now my blood pressure is through the roof and i aint a happy camper. I had no chance of finding you all now. lol lol So i had a moment, and then began my treck back to the norhtside which took me another hour to get home!

I hope you all had a great night, maybe next time :)

that sucks... you missed an epic night of ghetto mechanics. lol

we're off to the carwash in a few mins tho for the punters that are still interested.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
