I had an RACQ test done last week on the car i now own, the only real fault they could find was the the fron drivers side wheel.. 2 of the stud bolds had snapped their thread or something similar to that, i went to Whynnum Manly Nissan yesterday and sat there with the guy in service department while he talked to parts on the phone and ordered me 4 studs and 4 bolts (there only $8 for stud and $2 for bolds or other way round maybe, so i got 2 extra)

he gave the parts department my VIN number, model and type etc

Only question i have, is i have 17s or 18s nismo/rays mags and want to know if they come with special bolts/studs or not

When you buy 18" nismo mags for example, can u just take stock rim off and put aftermarket straight on the studs there and use the bolts from stock?

just curious

thanks, i brought 4 new studs from Whynnum Manly nissan today

bolts he said will be impossible to get unless i give him one as a sample,

im assuming the bolts came with my wheels,

im getting 100k service done at auto tech soon so ill see what they can do

1 of the bolts just wont come off .. tried pliers and everything

nissan said probably have to hoist it up, undo the other bolts and try to work the other one off, then put in new studs and bolts

- dont think they are chrome, they are black and have 125 written on the side

Thanks for the info mate

well went to nissan again, they couldnt get one of the nuts off, thread has broken off and is just spinning

only tried some snap on tools and pliers though,

also they couldnt get the nuts that i needed without giving them a sample, which sucks

ill just get Gavin woods auto tech to fix it when i get service done

i attached pic of the studs though

cheap as chips these babies :D

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
