Gearbox Revving Out

Well as goes i had a valve body from MV Auto's put in my auto r33 S1, and my mechanic who i used forgot to put the welsh plugs in so the gear shifts aren't as fast and harsh as they should be. I spoke to mike and he said putting the welsh plugs in will fix this.

What my problem is now when i drive under load, my car will rev to like 5000 revs and when it changes it all of a sudden jumps up to 7000 revs with loss of power then changes. Would could cause this? Mike says it's not from, the welsh plugs not being in, Im not low on gearbox oil, I was thinking maybe the filter?

Does any1 else know what the problem might be before i take it back and pay more for the mechanic to have a look at?
