forged conrods and pistons

larger injectors

external wastegate

new cam gears

microtec lt-12 ecu

justjap FMIC 3" piping

turbo back 3" high flow exhaust

fuel pump and uno just basically all other little things

but i was thinking should i change the block to an rb30?

cause ive heard of people talking about things like that

cause i dont want to be stuck with a 2.5L

if all i need to do is grab a few things from an rb30...

tell me what u recommened i do here

btw its a r33 gts+t

what are you trying to achieve? how much money do you have?

how much power do you want to make? what turbocharger do you want to use?

i have a garret gt30 bb turbo. i will be upgrading that...

i want as much power as i can get but keep it a street car

looking to run low - mid 11's

even lower if possible.

but i want to know do u recommened changing part of my block or changing the head?

go read the RB30 specific section at the top of forced induction

it would have everything you need to know about the 3 litre build and best practices

theres also a sticky thread on rb30 turbo packages and the power they make

If you cant run a low 11 with a GT30 then there is something wrong with the way your driving :D

A GT30 will make between 270-330rwkw which is well and truely 11's territory

Other than that - do a search mate. Pros/Cons of 3ltrs vs 2.5ltrs... costs, issues, its all been covered in massive detail in past threads.

I have been running a RB30DET for about 6 years now, and i only suggest to people that they go RB30 only if their current engine is no good and not re-usable or they want to go for the big torque engine and not too worried about the cost.

RB30 is great and powerfull but they are a bit of a pain in the ass to get running and setup to work correctly.

For your goals a RB25det with a GT35r or t04z will be fine.

    • Crazy how good the aero bar looks compared to the stock one
    • Yes, but you will need to rewire all the things that are different. CAS, coils, etc. Yes, but there is no IAT. What? You can use anything you like. It just has to be hooked up so that it will work.     Or are you wanting to just plug and play without having to do any thinking/work?
    • It's been a little over a decade since I bought the S15. As I did on my socials, I'll share some of my favorite pictures from over the years further below. If you haven't realised, pretty much all the pictures in my posts are ones I've taken.  In terms of updates, I don't have pictures, but I acquired a near-perfect pair of fog lights from a friend of mine, so those got swapped in for the pair I already had. As for the JZX110, I just got it back from being fixed. A few weeks back, I was on the highway when I suddenly drove over something with very little time to react. It was probably the size of a soccer ball, but it went under the car and banged into the underside pretty loudly. I pulled over and realized the fluid leaking was fuel, and of course, it was right near my exhaust. This required replacing the fuel tank. If you happen to be in the same predicament, thankfully this car shares a fuel tank with the JZS171, IS200, and IS300, so it wasn't too painful to replace. Enjoy some pictures as mentioned above, including the carnage from the fuel tank and a bonus picture I came across which shows how ridiculously shiny the Bugels are on the 110. So many more pictures I could share of the S15 but this will do for today, enjoy.
    • Welcome.  Was the mistake the car, or joining us? 😏
    • Yeap, was me and the daughter getting coffee before heading to the new joint to measure up the fridge space and taking some pics that the solar installer wanted of the switch board
