Quick Drivers License Question

Hey peeps,

Thought someone on here might be able to help me out before i give vicroads a call tomorrow

I got a renewed license today and in the expiry date section, next to the date, it has an '(A)'. Anyone know what this means?

Its not in the conditions, in case ppl think its meant for automatic transmissions only...

I'm curious to know if its a fk up..

i always thought the "A" meant "auto only" license

yeah it does, but thats when its in the conditions section, and it usually explains the conditions on the back of license too....

Mmm, just checked mine, renewed 3 yrs back and i also have an a after my expiry date capitalised in brackets like this (A)

We've been marked for target practice by vic-pol.

i'm pretty sure you have a replacement licence. did you ever misplace it and order another?

Yer, i'm nearly 100% sure that a replacement license has an 'A' next to expiry. If you lose your replacement they put a 'B'

I've got two, one prior to losing my license that got sent back to me by mail after handing it in - has no (A), the other I got on the day I got my license back as I couldnt be bothered waiting for them to send me the above one back out (they sent it 4 days late) has an (A) after the expiry.

I always assumed it was coz I lost my license and after I got my points back, and took passenger restrictions off, they'd give me another without an (A)

letter reflects the number of duplicates that have been issued to that person friend of mine the last i spoke to him was upto the letter (k) guess he kinda always misplaced his license
