Coles carparks

Before i start, i dont have my skyline anymore, sold it to my bro. I have an astra SRi now and in the process of doin it up, the other day i came out of coles and some bastard had hit my car, had red paint all over it, its not huge but noticeable. A mate told me i should ring coles and tell them i found trolleys next to my car, the mark is right on trolley height. Dunno if i should or not?

I'd ask them if they had any surveillance/security cameras pointed at your car first..

if they do you might be able to get the rego number of the guy who did the hit and run.. f***ing assholes.. this is why I steer clear of shopping center carparks.

If they DONT.. then you might want to consider trying the trolley idea. :bahaha:

Carparks just arent cool. I'm lucky (or kinda dumb) because i have two cars so i drive my POS to work and to mates places and just for general driving. Drive the skyline around when I am cruising or if a want, sorry need to go fast or more than likely if I have to pick up a chick or something. But Coles won't cover you for anything mate sorry to tell you. This is one of those things thatjust can't really be avoided I guess but bad luck anyway. BTW why did you sell your skyline?

sorry to tell u this but unless u saw someone push a trolley into it and report it then and there, u dont really have a leg to stand on, cos it could have happened anywhere

if they have surveilance then that can be a different story

i would think that a car would have done it as trolleys dont generally leave red marks

i know this cos i work for coles myself

I have had a trolly hit my car (also had a golf ball hit the roof while driving past a driving range but thats another matter) wasn't my Line fortunately but if you don't do anything on the day it happens forget it. In the trolly incident they wouldn't believe me till I dragged the manager outside pointed out the broken trolly bay, the hillslope, the trolly still jamed into the side of my car and the dents/ scratches that looked remarkably like the ones you'd expect if a trolly rolled down a hill and hit the drivers door of a car.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
