Not bagging you or anything, why not just use some degreaser and clean the oil around the rocker covers? I just did it 2 days ago, pulled of a lot of old oil. Funny when I bought the car tho it got a road worthy and it was all still there. And if it indeed is not leaking, it should stay clean for a while. :P

Sorry I can't suggest anyone however I am also interested in recommendations.

Oh no this is not this time, this just happend to me a car i had ages ago and I just don't want the same thing to happen again.

Cant remember the prices, may have been $100 comming to the house, its more if he comes to visit you, cheaper if you go to him. in and out in 10 mins but ;-) . Also, I used coomera car care ($50) for my line and a friends oil tanker, both passed ok there.

Ok I need to explain my self, I think I may have give of the wrong impression with this topic.

When I said Cheap I litrelly meant, I want someone who does it cheap. My car is in fairly good condition, its not the problem. I just want someone who will do it really really really cheap lol.

dude pretty sure the going rate for a roady is around $50

unless ur trying to say u want a dodgy roady,

in which case i highly doubt anyone would share their contacts on a public forum, to someone they havent met...

Yeah going rate is more like $70 and a Phoneworthy is about $100.....no-one is going to give you a safety certificate for peanuts especially as it sounds like the car won't pass either.

Oh FFS I said that the car isn't crap or dodgey, doesnt anyone read before posting and I've already gotten the Roadworthy first time around for $75.

I bet I could find 3+ items to fail it on, most cars over 5 years always have 'something' that makes them unroadworthy

And if you already got one, why would you create a post about getting a RWC, go back to the original guy who already charged you a very reasonable rate.

I went a day after I started this post. And there was nothing to fail, I even asked him to check everything.

Just call some of the mobile guys and be straight up with them, tell them u want the RWC for re registration and that you dont wana pay twice.

Every mobile guy ive used comes out to your place, looks at the outside of the car for 5 secs then writes up the cert and they normally charge about $100.

That's it end of topic! :teehee:

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
