Hi all,

Went and checked out a R34 today at HCN,

The ad on carsales said it was a 2000 model, 55000km and rego till December,

but when I got there it was a 98 model 62000Kms and rego till October.

When I asked him about it he said he had accidentally put the info of another car in instead and carsales doesn't let you change it,

theres also a trading post ad that has the wright info in it.

Car was immaculate and drove great, he wouldn't budge on price but threw in a 3 yr warranty.

What do you guys think? Has anyone had experience with these guys?

I did a search but reactions seem to be a bit mixed.

Exact same thing happened when I went to look at a BNR32 he/they had for sale a while ago. Went with another SAU member who was looking at the advertised car (a white BNR32) and when the guy came to meet us he was in an older, black BNR32 and proceeded to tell us the other car was sold and long gone, yet he neglected to mention that on the phone.

He is a trader on Nissansilvia.com and advertises on carsales.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
