sorry for the late post been busy. i did have reciepts but the prob got lost when i moved house cos i cant find em anywhere. i bought it with the intention of putting it on the V6 commo ute i used to have. but i sold the ute cos it wont make it up the driveway of my place. so now i got no need for it.

as the title says i have a gt35/40 internally gated turbo. its new and unused. comes with the the wastegate and a 2xbraided steel oil feeds (different lengths). $1800ono

Forgive the newbie question but why would i buy this turbo over a gt3582R which ive been quoted brand new internally gated for $1850? With the little bit i read i understood these turbos are the same except for the compressor housing. Is it just because it has a ford stamp on it? or am i missing something else. Thanks for your patience and assistance.

its a valid question and u r right they r pretty much the same. but r u sure that price includes the actuator?? plus im throwing in $150 worth of braided oil lines. but hey i'll drop the price. $1700

still after a set of brembos if any1 wants to swap?? also after some 17x9 inch rims if any1 has some and wants to swap for a new turbo?? can do cash either way. bump

    • Quick update, finally got an hour or two on a weekend where there wasn't shit weather, no sick kids, people visiting our house or had to work. Visited me old folks and the skyline...dropped  $10 of 98 in the tank and a brand new SCA shitter battery in. Cranked over a bunch of times but didn't fire up....pretty sure it's not getting any fuel. Gonna try some of the stuff suggested above, next time I make it over there.
    • @GTSBoyas luck would have it and it's legit the only part of this story that goes my way, I already had the liner out to retrim! So much lucky!
    • Drill out the subframe bushes, replace them, same with the diff bushes.
    • Sane enough. Remove the roof liner, because the acid will go everywhere.
    • Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help and experienced opinions.  I have spent a lot of my life working on boats so I'm pretty good with fibreglass. I'll take everybody's advice in here;  I'll cut a little more of the 2nd layer away as it's a bit crunchy rust and also it's sitting high now. Then I'll wire brush it all a bit to get off anything loose, then I'll soak the bejesus out of it all in rust converter. I'll make sure to get a little hose piece and feed it into all the holes and gaps between the roof layers. Then I'll fibreglass up the holes.  Then I'll get a pallet of filler and mix it with 3 buckets of hardener and hope that is enough to build up the roof corner.  Does that sound sane? Is one type of filler better than others for this?
