A/c Regas With R12?

hi guys,

im due to get my a/c regas as i recently removed my oil cooler & fitted the a/c fan & dryer back in place...i know that i should be converting to r134a, however, is there anyone out there in nsw (sydney) who can in fact regas with r12?

as far as i am aware there is no more r12 around (and there shouldnt be coz that shits bad lol), and any workshop that does a/c should be able to do the conversion for you, its as simple as removing all of the old gas, putting new fittings on the a/c pipes and putting some new oil and gas into the system, i know this as im a mechanic and we do them every now and then

Howabout using that Hychill stuff ? Its supposed to work a lot better than R134a and generally gets great results in the older R12 systems....
