I seen this damn tasty VS2 the other day and was wishing I had $70K to buy it and import it.

Then I got thinking what would this be worth on the Australian market?

I presume it wouldnt be worth as much as a NUR but it has a lot of tasty pieces!

Ideas guesstimates any1?

lol I had a client on it when it went through auction a few weeks back...

So globalauto purchased the car at an auction originally and have relisted it for sale through their dealership?

Would it fetch $80K here in Oz? I presume it would be about $72K landed here and complied?

I don't want to shock you. but that is what car dealers do.... they buy cars. at auction, or privately, then re-list them for more money. just like you are wanting to do. only you'd have a better chance of turning a profit by not buying your car retail from a car dealer.

Lol I realise that, I just wasn't sure if Iron Chef meant he seen it being auctioned by global auto or seen it being auctioned off prior to global auto purchasing the car. As it is now the price global have on it seems very reasonable which makes me wonder why iron chefs client didn't purchase the car from the auctions as it would have obviously been cheaper then what it is now!?

Im not wishing to sell it, I just started thinking what would this car be worth in Oz. It would be worth $70k at least but $8-90k is getting into NUR territory which I would presume would be more desirable then a tarted up VS2?

I really don't see even a Nur being worth $80-$90K in aus and a V-spec II is not rare or special at all. there's plenty of nice VS2s around if that's what you're specifically after. it has some nice bolt on bits no doubt but nothing serious, still standard engine etc. It might be worth $65,000 or so in the current market, or one special buyer may pay more, or you may not be able to sell it at all and end up taking $60K or less even. hard to say at the moment. but there is nothing that really sets is apart above other nice mildly modified R34 GTRs.

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
