OK! So, I'm looking for a colour sample of something thats in my head but many pages of google image is not helping. Oh what do I do!? Well, I came up with a little something which may also be used anything other than a colour sample. Each step has an image so it should be pretty easy to follow!

1. Create a new image. Set it to 500px * 500px

step-1.jpg

2. Fill the background with any colour other than Black or White

step-2.jpg

3. Goto Filter -> Render -> Lighting Effects

step-3.jpg

4. Change the Light Type to "Omni". As far as lighting position and properties is concerned, please ref to image below:

step-4.jpg

5. Duplicate the current layer (Background). Hint: Ctrl+J

step-5.jpg

6. Auto-correct the Levels (Ctrl+Shift+L).

step-6.jpg

7. Change the Layer Type to "Colour Dodge". Also, change the Fill % to ~50% (This will vary on taste etc)

step-7.jpg

8. Create a New Layer. Fill it Black, and goto Filter -> Noise -> Add Noise. Use settings as per the image:

step-8.jpg

step-8.1.jpg

9. Follow Step 7 for the New Layer.

step-9.jpg

10. For the fun part! Select the "Background" Layer and goto Hue/Saturation (Either via Image -> Adjustments, or via shortcut (Ctrl+U)).

Tick the "Colourise" checkbox, Move the Saturation slider to 100. Then, move your Hue slider across to the colour that suits. For tutorial purposes, ill choose a blueish colour (200-250 Hue).

Now, youll notice that the bright spot is intensly white. So, move the Lightness slider down to a tone that suits you.

There you have it! My final product has a "clear coat" so to speak, if you want to know about that, just post! See below :D

    • Swapped the injectors around and the misfire followed. I went ahead and ordered the Deatschwerks 550cc injectors and am currently waiting for them to be ship and arrive. In the meantime, I've had my Nistune soldered to the ECU. Tested it, and and tried it out with the software. Everything should be prepared for when the injectors arrive.
    • Yeah they charge a little extra for mods , last year I noted no mods but I did have an exhaust fitted after that so  better to let them know cause these kinds of things can cause the policy to be void if you ever need to claim.
    • Hello, just just bought an 1999 enr34 with a stock rb25neo and I'm looking to upgrade the engine to 500whp I know some basic things but wondering if there are things I'll need to do to upgrade the stock block and all the bits and pieces to achieve this.
    • Thanks everyone for the replies and suggestions. Got the seats out (hoping I could find some existing grommets but no such luck). By tapping and measuring etc. I could figure out where I could drill through if needed. But first I borrowed an inspection camera and managed to go through factory holes in the chassis rail and could see that the captive nut was holding steady which is why it could retighten. So it was indeed a stripped section of thread, so I applied downforce by levering the bolt head with a screwdriver and went slowly back and forth until it came out. Camera helped a lot cos I could monitor that the captive nut was holding tight. Now I just have one very seized main subframe nut to tackle 😅
