Are you given a grace period before you have to renew your rego or must you renew it by the given time or else you have to get your car reinspected?

So if i go on a long holiday, can i pay for the rego after i come back?

Thanks in advance.

i think its like 3 months, b4 they make you do an inspection?

i let mine go on my daily for like 2months.

and you just phone and make the payment.

i wouldnt risk it tho, not liek your rego starts from the date of payment.

internet payments stop working day after payment is due.

I think 30 Days after the date on the invoice issued to you.

Although after the date on the invoice, your CTP Insurance is void, so where possible, pay the rego before that date.

After 30 days past the due date, your car becomes deregistered and they'll want the plates back?

So can you drive around in that 30 days?

legally ??

NO your car will be unregistered but you have a 30 day grace period in which to pay it before your car requires a pit examination to be re licensed .If you are caught driving it in that 30 day period it can be confiscated under their new laws for 28 days

This question was calling me!!!!!! ahaha

Your rego expires on midnight of the date listed, so you get 15 days grace after it has expired, however you can renew the registration of your vehicle up to 3 months after it has expired without incurring a penalty or having to take your car over the pits!
