Boost Gauges Different Readings

hey all

iv searched the forums but come up with little answers

iv recently bought a HDi Boost Controller ( comes with a Gauge)

iv installed it as instructed...

previous to this i had a boost gauge installed reading from the fuel pressure line ( off the manifold)

the HDi solenoid has 1 port on the actuator and another on just after the turbo

the HDi controller also has a vac line comming off the manifold ( as instructed)

my problem is that the 2 gauges dnt match up... and even stranger is that the after market gauge on the manifold reads slighty (1-2 psi)

higher then the gauge just after the turbo...

any comments would be much appretiated

heres a visual incase this helps, cheers

what sort of aftermarket gauge is it? if its old or a dodgy brand it could just be poorly configurated, but they should read the same if they are both taken from the manifold

Id suggest changing the aftermarket gauge from the FPR vac line as that should be used only to provide the FPR. If you have something tee-ed off that and the line fails then ur not gonna be getting the fuel you need and you may start leaning the AFR

he's saying his pressure is showing higher after the IC

but if you look at the diagram, the HDi gauge is getting its reading from the intake manifold, same as the aftermarket gauge.

i'd say you have an inaccurate gauge. ive had this before. 2 gauges watching the same thing, with a 2 psi difference in readings.
