GrammAr police? :D

Hehehe!

Yep gonna be one hot wedding! I won't even get to see it though :ninja: I gotta work!

Does ANYONE know of anyone??? ;)

If you could spread the word guys that'd be amazing.

We Have 2 so far, just need one more... There will be small compensation for fuel costs etc, but also many awesome professional photos taken at not normally accessible locations etc...

Only half a day required, for a good cause, great people, good fun.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks again people.

Alternatively, if any of you can post up users or usernames of any 34GTR owners that we can attempt to contact in case they just dont see this thread, that too would be a big help.

Thanks again

Hey Deli Rep

Probably one of the reasons as to why you're struggling to find a suitable vehicle......especially when you're talking in the vicinity of a 1/2 day.

Not sure if you've checked what a wedding hire car costs these days....usually charged by the hour.

Goodluck with it all & hope you get lucky.

you guys tried kane or bosman (blue 34 with black GT4's) if they haven't sold them yet

Just an added thought Bec...

My car was used as a wedding car 2 months ago along with another GT-R.

The ribbons caused scuffing/swirling on the bonnets. Not good after all the preparation.

My car had been washed > clay barred > sealed > waxed.

Can you 'blue-tak' the ribbons to stop them from rubbing against the paint or raise the ribbons at the front so that they don't touch the bonnet (for the sake of the owner)???

Massive thanks to Craig and Jonno who are both donating their cars & services for the day... That makes 3 Bayside Blue R34 GTRs! What a sight that'll be! I wish I was going to the wedding (all the best Marcus and Sam!) but I have to work :P

So peoples, this Saturday afternoon, keep your eyes peeled!!! It'll be quite a beautiful sight I'd imagine!!!

mass overkill on the wedding rule of having something blue :P

n remember u can get away with anything with wedding ribbons on your car, a guy i used to work with would have them on everytime he drove his old muscle car for this reason

    • They are under bucket shims. Tomei provides a test shim kit and then any measurement of shim required.
    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
