BTW Terry, you don't see muscle car clubs dwindling in numbers, in fact they import more and more of them!

Same goes for hot rod clubs - every meet they have here seems to be growing in numbers!

Yes but hotrods and cheap turbo imports do not have the same demographic of owners.

I can tell you for a fact that 80% of people in Vic only own their skyline from 3 years or less.

This is going directly off the Vic club records. Most people sell their skyline and move on within a 3year period.

the other thing is that there is a lot of niche clubs - in Mildura in the past month alone we have seen meets for the Eureka Club (Pretty sure it was around 700 made total!) and a some 30's model Citroen Club!

I think it could be a workable idea, though it would be kind of different to the R31 club in that there was no mass produced Aussie version of the R32. But then what about a GT-R club, or an 80's Import Club, or an R33 Club etc lol. I am sceptical that this would actually get off the ground, but it would be cool :)

heck yes im up for this! and although skyline owners apparently only keep their cars for 3 years on average i predict this site to do well, since its about cheap turbo imports, which young people own and young people love the internet lol~

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
