Rodney, can you PM me and give me a hint as to what time I'll be expected on? I'd prefer after lunch. I may be there for only a short time, as I'll be at work sorting IT issues this weekend.

cheers hartley, you could always come down and pop your car on,kind of get a before and after idea....hint hint, plus im dying to see your rig!

cheers to you also roo!always keen to drum up support for local events!thanks

Would love to come if I wasn't already booked in on the 26th for an install/tune/dyno, but anyone else that hasn't been dynoed (recently) and lives in SA should jump on board!

Cheap dyno time, perfect for a before and after mods Hearts!

Can I have a PM with details of the day. Where, how much, do I need to pull shaft ect ect....

Tempted to pull shaft if we dont need to, to see if the shift kit has improved much

no need to pull the shafts chris,4WD dyno!

but if it makes you feel better, numbers wise then pull it out!

if numbers arent up by friday lunchtime then the day will be called off,bit of a shame to do that tho as everyone has had plenty of time to get on it.

pretty sure there is more than 6 stagea's in adelaide that can make it down for the day, just same deal as we spoke about in the cruise thread last time chris

ill give peeps till lunchtime friday to contact me,then ill update this thread either way

Hey guys, as Roo said he dropped in and saw me today which is the first i heard about the day.

Im interested but need to work around other things on the day, so can you tell me what time this will be happening and i can let you know if i can bring the 260 down? Also paying on the day would be easier for me too.

It's kind of sad the amount of people that show interest and then are going to be no shows...

Really sucks for those coordinating the day. I'll admit I thought about pulling out due to a large un expected expense during the week but would like to support those organizing it.

I'd like to be on early as I'm working at 12 on the day.

will probably start round 10am grim, will let you know round lunchtime tomorrow via this thread

Ben doesn't have SAU access at work. PM me the details and I will drop in on Ben at work again at lunchtime. I'll also relay back if he's in or not.

:P

ok everyone, just been down to see michael

we will be there from 10am

he would like to make a start by 10:30am

a few people have requested early times from me so this is how it'll start with the early birds first

allowing roughly 20mins a car

start 10:30-

grim (260rs stagea)

kidafa (stagea)

nigel (r33 gtr)

mick (r33 gtst)

11:30am-probably stop for some lunch for half hour

then in no set order

aleks (stagea)

adam (un-modified stagea) :(

myself (stagea)

tangles (stagea)

ruby (stagea)

then if others rock up they can just slide in where required for a run

people are more than welcome to come down for a squizz

theres still room for more so let me know if want in,and you can pay on the day if you like

thanks

Next question... what sort of power figures is everyone hoping for????

Not the 300+ awkw like you!!! :P

I'd be happy to just see my AFRs so I know where to go from there. I'm running rich, that much I do know. Still got the leak between the turbo and dump pipe, so the wastegate will make things interesting. :D

Thats enough from you roo, wooden spoon again for you i say! :P

If i could be bothered i'd bring the white 260 down for stock and not so stock comparison! lol!

Anyone know what sort of power nigels gtr is making? And is Micks 33gtst the one that makes ridiculous amounts of power?

unsure about nigels gtr mate, think he's just recently done abit of work so will be keen on seeing it!

and its not the mick your thinking of,hes my old housemate and think hes got coilpack issues hes trying to pin down before he spends up big on splitfires

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
