Early Rb26, Rb25 Clutches Same?

My GTR needs a new clutch and I can get a great deal on an rb25 clutch. I read somewhere that the rb25 and early rb26 (push) clutches will interchange. Can someone confirm that before I buy?

I did some research. Exedy uses same part number for 8/89-2/93 RB26 and R32/R33 RB20/RB25. I bought the 25 clutch. Hopefully it fits.

I was under the assumption that all R32's were push, and all R33's were pull type.

Early R32 GTRs were Push, late model R32 GTR's were Pull.

All R33 GTSTs were push from the factory.

All R33 R34 GTR's (and R34 GTT's) were Pull from the factory. Over time the owners could've changed them to Push so best to get under there and have a look...

An easy way to tell is:

if the slave sits on the rear side and pushes forward it's a pull.

if the slave sits on the front and pushes towards the rear of the car it's a push.

Even if you bought the wrong type of clutch you can easily convert it from pull to push with a few parts. New folk, slave, and release/carier bearing.

It's an 89, should be push. I did my rb20 2 weeks ago. How much more difficult is the AWD tranny to pull?

Its a bit heavier, plus the front driveshaft to be removed.. but basically the same.
