Central Coast & Newcastle People - Meetup To Go To Show N Shine

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Mainly due to bakes posting about this elsewhere I thought i'd start a thread and see if we get any interest in a meet point for central coast and newcastle people going to the show n shine this sunday.

I'll be on the coast and will be with two others taking cars so figured why not see if all go together so at least some of us know where we are going lol and its kinda cool too the whole cruise thing lol.

So peoples throw ideas around.. i'm not really organising it just posting it so if someone wants take the rains please feel free.

Drew u beat me to it...was about to start a thread!!

Twin servos on the F3 is a good meeting spot, but means going in the oppisate direction for a few members.. maybe the coast ppl can meet behind the BMW dealer.. easy for newcastle ppl to get off at and all can re join the freeway together

Alrighty, sweet as guys. Cant wait!

Im helping to organise the day for us R31 Skyline Club boys.

All Nissans are encouraged & more than welcome to come cruise down with us -

Central Coast Meetup - Twin Servos on the Freeway, South Bound side, Maccas carpark.

Arrive 6:30/6:45 - leaving at 7am SHARP! - heading to Final Meetup.

Sydney Meetup- Maccas, Cnr Redbank Rd / Cumberland HWY Westmead.

Arrive 7:15/7:30 - leaving at 7:45am - heading to Final Meetup.

Final Meetup - Cnr Beavers St & Smithfield Rd, by the side of the road on Beavers St.

i just rang E.k ........... he said is there a possableaty that you guy on the south of the coast can meet us on the side of the F3 and i can give one guy a call when we come down into karong so guy can have a rolling start and then we can all head down togeather ??

From past experience its not a good idea to meet on the side of the freeway... we could meet at Hawskberry river.. there is a bit of parking on the off ramp a, stopped there on the last cruise... seemed to be the best option.. safe and still room ( depending on the number of trucks)

I reckon hawkesbury river off ramp probably the best bet as more room as mentioned.

Does everyone agree? Meeting time at 7:30am.. so everyone has a chance to get there and also plenty of time to find fairfield show grounds and get organised.

Herrooww drewster and mr mick! :P i agree with the drewster from past experiences! side of old pac just opposite (parallel) the truck stop at mooney!! plenty of room for 60 + cars. twin servo's will be choccas and we'd traffic the hell outa the place haha.

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
    • Good luck on the weekend mate
    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
