Wtb - Stub Axle + Rhsr Cv Shaft - R33 Gtr V-spec

Recommended Posts

Im chasing the following parts for a mates 96 R33 GTR V Spec

- Aluminium Housing or Stub Axle that the bearing hub bolts into.

- Right hand Rear drive shaft or CV shaft.

:3some:

What's wrong with the current ones?

Where are you located? as it will help readers know where you are to suggest somewhere

Are you after new or second hand ones?

I take it the stub axle is for the same side on the rear?

Have you tried a wrecker or a CV reco place?

The car kissed a curb on the right side rear and most of the other issues have been fixed but it has also stuffed the bearing, stub axle and the cv shaft.

Tried a couple of wreckers but they only have R32 GTR bits in stock and they charge an arm and a leg.

Located on the south coast of NSW so would probably have to get couriered.

Don't know exactly where to go down there but you can try SSS Automotive

Alternatively take your shaft to a CV reco place and see if they can rebuild it

For parts like the bearing have a look on the forums or take it to a bearing place to see if they have something the same. If all else fails go to nissan spare parts.

Anything on a GTR is expensive.

Good Luck

Thanks for the info. Ive already picked up a bearing and hub. The problem is from the hit, and I think the mechanic cant seperate the CV shaft without doing more damage......

I'll give SSS a call tommorow and see what they can do.

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
