Predator 8l Sump

Hey guys,

First post but i have been lurking around here a little while. I have recently brought a r33 with a rb30 conversion that has a predator 8l baffle sump. I dropped the engine oil today and filled it with some quality fresh stuff. I put 5L in and it is reading full exactly where it was before i changed it. My concern is does this sump require more than 5L? The mechanic would have just filled till it read right on the dipstick so referencing back to what it was may be the wrong thing. I havn't been able to get in contact with the previous owner to check if the dipstick is reading right but i do have positive oil pressure. If someone can help me out it would be much appreciated.

I would have thought an "8L" sump would hold.. 8 litres? Or why have it?

As far as im aware the stock sump capacity is about 4.5 - 4.7l. Well, when i do an oil change im always putting in 4.5 minimum
