Before anyone starts, yes I barely know anything and yes I have gone back and read other posts.

I found this video on youtube (

), this guy has a custom built 2.5" mild steel mandrel bent, high flow cat, high flow resonator and high flow muffler with 4" tip, and it sounds pretty good.

so what i wanted to know was, will he gain much?

and if you change the tip into a canon will there be a dramatic difference in sound, like a huge difference?

You will gain a little bit of power going from the stock R34 N/A exhaust which I think is 2" in diameter to a mild steel 2.5" exhaust. You will gain a bit more power if you have an aftermarket exhaust all the way through from the extractors to cannon. High flow cat and resonator will add to the performance. Dont expect wild gains with this setup alone though.

The cannon solely will make very little difference to performance, you will most likely gain some rumble!

gettin lots of noticable power outta an N/A costs lots n lots of money... unless ur aiming to get as much power as possible outta the car then just have a nice 2.5", mild steel, mandrel bent cat back with a big tip or cannon... doin stuff like extractors n hi - flo cats costs abit more for not much real benefits unless ur squeezing power outta it

all i noticed was it made it drone 100x more lol... its pretty pointless doing a really hi-flowing cat back n leaving the extractors stock as yeh they will be more of a restriction than a good stock cat

^^ pretty sure the standard is 2.25"

I've done extractors, high flow ressy, high flow cat, 2.5" mild mandrel bent steel with a 3" tip.

Downlow power is the same but once it hits the higher rev range, around 3000-4000rpm it takes off compared to before

Cost me around $2,500 including DKNE extractors.
