im on the southside but i dont care where we meet. i guess it would be easiest to meet somewhere in civic because im sure thats where we'll end up anyways!

like i said, i dont care though. wherever is fine with me.

alex, im keen to see your car too, theres just not enough boosted RB20s!

Drifter,

I'm just keen to see what else is getting around at the moment. If there are any other HR31's, what the 32 and 33's are like, etc.

My skyline needs a good tune at the moment too so just running std boost until it all gets sorted. Still going well though.

Anyone looking at going to the Wakefield Park track day on the 15/9?

Is your R32 boosted Drifter?

Alex

Does everyone know where the carpark is opposite the Convention Centre?

My suggestion is that we meet there at about 9ish on Friday night. How does that sound? Slyder can you make that? It will be pretty empty which gives us a fair bit of room for everyone to show up and have a look at each others cars.

We can work out where to go from there.

What does everyone think?

I'll try my best to get out by 9, if not how do we contact each other? does anyone have those hand held cb's or mobile fones? if so what channel do we get each other on?

Is there enough light across the road from the conv centre? can't remember, havn't been that way a while in the dark.

Hmmm...Friday night...I think I can make that, so long as its not too early, maybe 9 or 10.

Should be good - it's been a while since the last one...

BTW Jay and I have each got one of those handhelds.

Repeater Channel 7 is probably the go to call on as it seems to work everywhere, but we should pick another one as well...

What do you reckon Jay ?

Yeah,

9 or 10ish would be good.

Are you guys gunna hang around for a while?

SilverSlyder, Yepp, as James said, we both have those uhf radios. We can make it either channel 33 or channel 7. I think the Isaac's repeaters will work from Civic too. Their on channels 2 and 8. But we'll just stick too 7 or 33.

Keen to check out some cars.

J

Convention center is good idea, i think if people start showin up at 9 n we hang around there till bout 10-10.30 all the straglers will have time to make it, also tell people with skylines that arent on here to come as well more the merryer(spelling). good to see some response though really keen now. Hope fully will have the GTR back together by then i will post some pics tomorrow here for your enjoyment through my misfortune haha!! Ill bring the a skyline no matter what happens!! heres a few pics of what im whingin about, the turbo backlash blew the pipe off the turbo causing some major drama in the tuning( basically alot off air went missing but it still had the same fuel ie very rich) couldnt drive it on boost. But i have done a qucik fix ( still legit just not the best solution that comes when i high mount the turbo) and will have it there on FRi.

hERES what it shoulkd look like!!

    • Input shaft bearing. They all do it. There is always rollover noise in Nissan boxes - particularly the big box. Don't worry about it unless it gets really growly.
    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
