hey mate ,do you run themo fans on your set up ??as i have a twin turbo rb 30 /25 set up running 488 rwkw and i was running themo fans and driven around wasnt to bad but i soon as i got a red light or went through a drive through temps would clim ..up ..i pulled the themos off and put the standed fan back on ,and didnt have any more troubles with the temp climming.

cheers

I'm not sure exactly what these thermo fans are but I havnt touched the fans so it should be running whatever fan came with the car.

As far as the climate control goes.. if you push the recirculate button, does the hot air stop blowing?

unfortuntely all it does is limit the amount of air. I can still feel the hot air.

there is a sensor that is prone to breaking, its near the windscreen on the inside above the glove box.

when it goes you basically have 2 settings.... 18 (cold) and everything else (hot)

you need to turn it to 18 and then turn it off to get it to stop blowing hot air

I'm still in the process of checking all the sensors but I just tried the system today (raining and all). it blows cold air but the more I drive the car te air gets hotter. regardless if it's on 18 turned off or on.

almost sounds like the 'heater core' tap is stuck on, as well as the cowl door not closing properly, probably the seal is cactus

any thoughts on solutions?

have a search on SAU for heater threads you should find plenty of info on the heater. being a 33 owner I'm not familiar with the 34 BUT if ya stick ya head under the glove box and hit the 'recircualte air' button, you should see a 'rod and lever' arangement mo0ving, thats the cowl door. Same goes 4 the heater cores tap, change the temp and something will move to direct the water flow.

like I said though do a search. I'm sure I've seen full removal guides and all.

had a similar issue in my car, turns out the interior temp sensor was unplugged, in my case it was a r32 and the centre console got removed and the sensonr never got hooked up, if there is no signal the aircon assumes the temp is -44 degrees and pumps in hot air to stop you dying...even if the thing is switched of, this really sucked in QLD in summer and i was so glad when i found such a simple fix!
