Heip, no they are direct bolt-on - it took about 15 minutes to change them over (did it myself this arvo)

They do look good in the flesh people.

IMHO the only styling mistake Nissan made with the S15 was the bland rear end lights. Hence I quite like Andy's new set-up.

there is a black chrome version that i quite like even though i myself am not a big fan of the clear tail lights.

buti have noticed that these look the best on a black car

because of the outer black edges.

Kinda undecided also... they definately change the shape of the car... sorta make it look like they are the front lights of the car.

I think the issue is they are a complete different style to the old ones... its like anything though, it takes time to get used to them as it is so different to anything you have seen before.
