Using Different Model Oil Filter

i have a sandwhich plate here for my gauges for my rb20det, when i screw the oil filter onto the thread of the fitting it is fouling on the nut bit of the fitting and not allowing the filter to screw down far enough to seal on the plate

if i find another model filter that will eliminate this problem

would there be any issues with using a different model oil filter?

not really no. finding one that fits is going to be better than making that one fit dodgily.
