Hi Guys.....

Just wondering if anyone knows or has info to help me. I lost my license in November for DD and get it back at the end of March. When i lost it i was on my Opens for 2 months.

I have been told that when i get my license back i go back on green P's and ahve to wear the green P plates etc...

When i was on my P's orginally i got it before the P'pates rules about drving turbo cars and wearing the plates came in..

Any clarification would be great

You know it's ALOT easier calling QLD transport and getting the 100% correct answer, then reading hear-say on a forum.

If you lost an open license you get an open license back*, unless something has changed - refer to calling QLD transport.

now i'm not 100% sure about this, and you would be best of checking with qld transport, but i do recall a mate of mine having a whinge when he lost his licence a few years back that he wouldn't be able to drive his 180sx when he got his licence back because he had to be on his p's for 6 or 12 months after getting his licence back (despite having been on his opens before he lost his licence) and the vehicle restrictions were going to apply to him (this was when they first brought them in in qld).

yeah i'd check with qld transport cause my mates misses lost her licence and when she got it back she was on green p's.. however i would clarify

Iust spoke with QT and was advised that i go back onto my green P's for 12months.

Cant drive between 11pm-5am

0.00 Alcohol limit

4 points instead of 12

I also asked about being able to drive turbo cars and V8's and they said that you can still drive these vehicles

Also you dont need to display green P plates

afaik as long as turbo is stock in qld you can drive one. You shouldn't go down from Open to P's even if done for DD....

I'm gonna look into that tomorrow

In future just call 13 23 80, it's not a good idea letting everyone on the forum know that you were done for Drink Driving :)

Thats the number i called.... Unfortunately it was a dumb option and poor lack of judgement which will not happen again..

Supposedly now if you loose your license be it by DD or loss of demerit points you go back to a 12 P license even if you had your opens when it was lost

Just called Queensland Transport then;

If you have had your license cancelled, EG: DD, you went to court and it was ruled you get a cancellation for 6months for example, then yes you would go back to P’s for 12 months.

However, if your license was suspended, say from loss of points then no, you do not get put back onto your P’s.

Straight from QLD transport

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
