Car Doesnt Want To Start

engine :

Series 2 RB25DET

CAS : Hitachi not mitsubishi

Problem:

was driving it on the weekend fine , stopped at a servo to get a drink , let the car cool down for a couple minutes

came back out , sat around for half an hour talking to people , go to start the car and it wont start.

fuel pump primes up , engine cranks but wont spark.

got RAA out (RACV for those in vic) and he tested the coilpacks and came to the conclusion that there isnt any pulse getting to them which

is why the engine will not spark.

ive replaced coilpacks, coilpack loom's, taken the CAS out and checked it but havent replaced it with another one to see if thats the problem

ive also got another ECU to test with the engine

can anyone shed some light on the situation , yes... ive done a search

well it seems it was the ecu that had shit its self

plugged a new one in and wah lah , it starts

dont know why the other one would just die though

true maybe something fried it, good to hear though

thats what im trying to work out , i dont want to buy this ecu for it to only get fried again

i need to find error codes , but on the series 2 ecu's there doesnt seem to be anything to reset it with or find errors with compared to the series 1
