:flamed:

I am damn sick of people and their opinions on the AVCR, have you people that think its just a fancy screen even used one before?

Go have a look at most of the top times for japanese cars and look what boost controllers they are using, APEXi is not a small nor un-advanced company

They produde amazing electronics, and this one happens to have a 'blow away the compition' screen that comes with it, the screen is amazingly functionable and helps with alot of the controll

the SAFC has the exact same screen.. i dont hear people paying it out for its 'rice' screen.

it is a great EBC, ive helped a few friends use it, and ill be getting one in a few weeks

Relax dude, i didn't say it's not a good boost controller, i said it's fancier and more expensive than a profec B. Also no one said Apexi is a small company however i don't think they are as big as Trust or HKS.

Oh and it's about time you bought yourself new glasses! Look at all the hardco jap cars in JAPAN and you'll see they all use profec B, just for the very reason that it is simple and does a great job. (check out cars done by JUN, Top Secret, C-West etc.) I am yet to see an Apexi avcr on a harco japanese car. However i saw it on cars of yanks just because they love hairstyles as much as you do ;)

I wasnt directing it towards you, it was a general statement so i dont appriciate the things directed towards me in the above.

Have u ever used an AVCR?

Have u ever used a Profec B?

Ive seen 100s of cars in japan in person when i went there last year that swear by the AVCR .. hmm wait thats cos they all use the Power FC and still put an AVCR ontop of it ;)

Yanks? My hairstyle?

I bet u didnt know that ALOT of HKS, Apexi and other japanese brand equipment will soon if not already be produced in 'yank' land, as its their second biggest market.

Sit back in your seat and dwell my friend, think before action, i was simply stating my opinion no need to retaliate

Peace and good day to you :D

got my avcr installed and it's a great boost controller :( very happy... the only ebc's i looked at when i was shopping around were from apexi, hks, trust and blitz... i'm sure there are other good ones out there but a lot of tuners know how to install and tune the more well known ebc's...

Hey Evil,

What are some of your settings only need, bst/dty,scramble,ne point, f/b speed, start duty, learn gear ? if its possible :)

(for R33 Gtst 95')

Cheers,

don't know all the settings... i'll have to check it when i get the chance... i know its set to 9psi (which is enough, my car makes 178rwkw)

Firstly theres no need to be offended by my reply. Secondly you don't quote someones exact words and say you weren't directing them to the owner, especially in a discussion forum. Thirdly few of my friends use apexi avcr but i haven't used it however i use my profec B all the time. Fourthly i believe what i see and all the cars you see "in person in japan" mustn't be making it to magazines, vidoes or the internet as i'm yet to see one with avcr (except apexi factory cars).

And finally your comments about US being a big market are totally irrelevant.

Good day! :)

How long have u been on SAU? not that its relevant but telling me what to do on a discussion forum is a nono, im a moderator and possible administrator (soon) of 2 seperate forums. Just because a car doesnt make it to "videos and magazines" doesnt mean its not making a ridiculous RWKW figure and 1/4 and track times.

I think you get your mind set on things to easily and are too stubborn to realise the error of the mind set when it happens. My US market sentence is irrelevant as you talking about haircut styles and yanks.

No harm done,

Back to the thread :)

Ordering my AVCR next week, already got the SAFC2SE (yes with white screen, so ill have one white and one blue, easy to differenciate) :headspin:

I love the 'techness' of the duty cycle settings and the sheer amount of user changeable settings, it gives you total control of starter, midrange and peak boost, not to mention allows you to finely tune it for stable boost controll.

Yeah I do!

The GFB Atomic... Works well enough for the price. Spikes a little, like when you floor it at high RPM, but otherwise the boost is quite stable. I wouldnt mind an EBC, but that'll come later as i'd rather do something else with $600-800 frankly...

    • When you crank your car, and hit it with a timing light, can you see a steady crank timing?
    • Oh, forgot to add, A few months ago I was getting mixture codes and the car was using crap loads of fuel. You could smell the unburned fuel in the exhaust, it was crazy strong. Economy was over 17.5 l/100 and usually around 19. I smoked the engine and found a leaky CCV hose which I replaced and then I replaced my two pre cat O2 sensors, I also replaced the MAF. This fixed my mixture codes and improved my exonomy but I'm still 14 - 15 l/100 when pottering about town so something is still amiss. Throttle response is much better and it has more pep but I'd like to know why it's still so thirsty (and I'm hoping that whatever it is gives me a bit more poke).
    • Car is on factory injectors/z32 maf/ q45 throttle body/ z32 ecu with nistune
    • Hello all, currently finishing up a rb25 swap into my s14. Having issues with starting, car has spark (confirmed by pulling a plug and watching it spark), has fuel(confirmed by checking pulse/voltage at injectors all spark plugs are soaked in fuel). Car cranks over and pops into the exhaust with a heavy fuel smell but no attempt to start or run, I have torn the timing cover off and triple confirmed timing, turned the CAS in multiple spots both directions, attempted to start with coolant temp and maf unplugged, checked my fuel lines and made sure they weren’t backwards, checked voltage at cas/injectors/coilpacks, made sure all the grounds in the harness are connected and added a few grounding straps (1 from chassis to block, 1 from chassis to head, and 1 from chassis to igniter chip) I am getting stumped here. As a last ditch effort I made a full grounding harness tonight that’s going to run from the battery and add an extra ground from the battery onto the coil pack harness/igniter chip/ intake manifold/ Wiring specialties harness ground/ and alternator. I’m hoping maybe the grounding harness will fix it here but posting here to see if anyone has any other ideas on what else I can check. My fuel pressure is unknown right gauge will be here tomorrow.  IMG_3206.mov
    • yeah I was shocked when I checked my spare OEM on and as below that's how they come from Nissan. (side interesting note new NEO gearbox and replacement park lack the brass bush on the tips and its just all alloy) unsure about damage to the box currently back at 1110 to be pulled down/inspected and selector fork replaced as he built it previously and given the never before seen failure on his billet forks he is replacing it under warranty. He said he has used always OEM the keyway tab without issue for years so it could be an unlucky coincidence. I did talk to him about the sharp corners and stress concentration too. Re: hard shifts i got 7+ years out of the OEM one and the fork itself failed not the keyway. so could be bad luck as I said or an age thing + heat cycles in box and during fabrication of billet?
