Eldubb
So, long story short - car has been scratched because of a garage issue. Wont go into it as im still upset.. anyway, the paint is gone, and the scratch is too long and wide for that stupid pen. Will have to get it fixed eventually, but is there any stuff i can buy like those magic pens except easier to apply with a paint brush? Will need to protect it from rust. Eldubb
They're double sided pens with my exact paint color code. so for stone chips etc you just apply with the pen and on the other side is a clear coating to seal it. Its only good for little chips we all get on our front bumper really. Ogz, im in brisbane but looked up the touchupguys here and they seem legit. Will take before and after pics for anyone whose interested in brisbane. Works nicely on stone chips etc... http://www.g35parts.com/G35-Factory-Touch-.../999pp-xxxx.htm Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/309319-deep-scratch/#findComment-5101766 Share on other sites
Ezy03
Oes it also fill the little chips? Btw if it works on stone chips it should work on the egg marks I have on mine. Would be very very happy to see them gone but even more happy to catch the person who done it. ogz007
there is now new restrictions in terms of shipping this from overseas.. Due to its liquid substance majority of the dealers there do not choose to sell this to overseas customers, however you can always try. I tried before and failed, so i just went to local nissan dealer parts and got mine for $15.00. Ezy03
went to nissan today they have it, its a nail polish sorta thing and you apparantly apply it, the guy there didnt know anything about it, so im wondering do you need to prep the car or do anything before applying it? also does it blend with the colour and surrounding or would it stick out like a sore thumb? saihaynes
Ive used the same from g35parts, IMHO they are ok for very small areas, anything other than that you`re better off getting it done either at a bodyshop (dependant on extent of damage) or by some touch up franchise (do your research first as Ive seen some appalling work) My bodyshop does stuff like full bumper respray etc and I use chipsaway (local franchise) for any light scratching/stone chips elsewhere. Good luck in getting your 350 sorted S Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/309319-deep-scratch/#findComment-5113380 Share on other sites
