Hey guys,

as some of you may know I've recently joined the M35 blown turbo club (not very exclusive these days). Anyways, I'm trying to find out as much information as possible on removing the turbo to aid the mechanic working on it, so I can have my car back with the least amount of hassle. I've seen a thread where one the whole sub frame was dropped, is this really neccessary? Others have said it's possible to remove the turbo without dropping the engine, and some have said it can almost be done except for one bolt. Is there a definitive answer for the best way to remove the turbo?

I'm sure these answers are already on the forum, but dropping the gearbox slightly allows access to the turbo. There are things you need to do before doing this however so you will need to do a search.

Someone did this very recently so I'm sure you will find recent information on how to do it. If you require further information get in touch with Jetwreck (Craig), he is an expert at this now
