RB20det oil pressure

need to know oil press for a rb20det

under cold start

idle

and full noise

Here ya go...

Cold Start warm up mode at around 1000rmp - 7 kg

Warmed up -

1kg/cm2 @ idle

3kg/cm2 @ 2000rpm

4kg/cm2 @ 6000rpm

EDIT - But the factory oil perssure guages are so unrelable thats not funny...SPecially on a r32...get an aftermarket one and hook that s.h.i.t up..

yes the factory ones ****

its a friends engine unfortuately its running 5-15psi on aftermarket guage and a analyser unit

Does it seem too high or too low or somthing? What's the acutal prob. We've had heaps of info about oil pressure...

what people have told me from about 10 sources nissan mechanics included is

they run from 40-70psi so 5-15psi isnt filling my mate with confidence in giving her a blat

oohsam; that cold oil pressure seems a little high.... mines never gotten above 5 on a cold morning, however that is taken from the factory guage... i wasnt aware they were supposed to read that high

so factory guages r sposed to be ****ed??

thats good to hear coz mine is always reading no pressure after its warm.

I've had a 32 and 33 and they both fully max out on the oil pressure on a cold start. Its normal. If you'rs doesnt go that high, then your gauge may be faulty. My mates got a 32, the gauge is faulty, and my cousins mate's guage is out too, Its normal for the factory guages to go out..they are real pox...

yeh i understand the guages are screwed, you can add mine to the list! i just wasnt aware the pressure should get that high....

......ok i think we all know stocker rb guages are crap

anybody had a pump failure or massive drop in avaiable pressure
