Kicker Comp 10 problems

Just wanted to say I've had 2 Kicker Comp 10 subs and both were dodgy build quality.

The first one died because the leads became unbonded...was sent back for repair, worked for another few months ended up with the same problem. This was replaced with another one, which has just crapped itself.....wait for it, unbonded leads!

Anyone else had the leads die on the same model?

i just got 2x 12" comp subs in a dual box and seems to be working fine...wat amp are you running it off? ou need to have the right amp to suit it, otherwise it can harm it in some way..

I've got the kicker KX120.2 Amp...it's power matched to the Sub. Kicker don't repair there subs if the even sniff an amp problem, but they readily agreed to do it for me.

Seriously the build quality of the Comp 10 is shocking with regard to the leads.

I got great sound....when it was working..I'm not sure about the new design..maybe they changed the way the leads go from the connectors to the coil. Also because the leads were so short, I've got impact marks on the back of the cone!

dude i dunno man, ure running a 60w each channel amp to a 125 sub....i think thats ure problem.....under powering is the woprst thing for the sub.....u wuld over power it then under power it..
