Hey guys,

I'm having some what of an open house at mine tomorrow..

Rock up anytime, share stories and a few quiet drinks.

Any time after 9.30am is good by me.

I do not have my mobile, so home phone only if you need.

Getting in contact with one of the guys I am close with will work.

i.e cass, jay, doof, ben, deitz, aron, chrissy etc...

I'm still not sure what to say, ive been to this thread a few times and not posted the reply I wrote.

I feel like words cannot express the way this has and will affect people. I guess all I can say is that from the brief chats I've had with these young men I can very honestly say they were genuinely sincere and passionate young men, and we could not ask for nicer people to hang out with and represent the club. I hope that Alex and the families do not deal with this entirely alone, and know that a lot of people are here when you are ready to talk.

Rest In Peace, always in our thoughts.

Thank you everyone for posting your messages of support here.

I have met some of you before with Tom, and you have painted a beautiful memory of the man who i gave my love to.

We were partners, lovers, best friends, and co drivers. Tom will be forever remembered.

Gerard had become a close friend over a short period of time, and i will never forget the quality of man that he was.

I know they're both up there at the big race track in the sky - covered in grease working on their cars and racing them on the track as they always loved.

Thankyou again everyone for your support - it is wonderful to see how loved these two men were and are.

Sheri xoxo

RIP guys

will there be a memerial for these two great guys. ill be stopping at the site on thursday night to pay my respects.

Yes there are a few things planned for Tom and Gerard.

A thursday night memorial cruise will be held later down the track, for now the families are beginning the preparations for the final farewells.

Alex had organised a day at Wakefield Speed off the Streets for Gerards birthday - this will now be a memorial for Tom and Gerard.

20th May - Wakefield park.

just joined the fbook group about the upcoming trackday, didnt know them personally but the loss of anyone in the community in such tragic circumstances is a blow felt by all members.

Obviously i cant compare my concern with the pain felt by their loved ones and those who knew them well but it at least makes us all pause and reflect on the sadness of the event and how close we all are to those shiny pearly garage doors sometimes. I for one will be taking the next pac/nasho run at a more sedate pace and not taking the joy i get out of the sport for granted.

RIP boys..

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
