Veilside Drag R32

Hi there I am a new member looking for some answers(i tried searching here) about a query i have relating to the Veilside R32 drag car. I was googling it and i came up with this article http://www.dragsport.com/dept/cover_story/3/index.shtml as you can see at the top of the page it says it has run a 8.612 @ 172.5 MPH on radials(nitto's i presume) But this clip i found of an old HPI dvd seems to contradict that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJ_PORr4SkA as it clearly does a 8.61sec pass at 163.13mph on Nitto's. The article must be wrong about the mph surely or has the Veilside car managed to run something like 5-7mph faster than any other car on radials?

Not sure of the answer there, but changed your question for a bit more accuracy

You're quite right i meant to say faster than any other GTR on radials.

radials vs slicks wont make any difference to mph, if anything radials would make it more likely to go higher mph as there would be wheel spin in the first half of the track

Jim, I would suggest that the 172.5mph figure could be its best MPH on radials and 8.612 it's best ET. They are not necessarily done on the same pass.
