no offence to the malays..

but i doubt there would be THAT much custom work...

they Msians don't seem too concerned with that sort of crap... especially on such an "old car"

chances are the dash is put in there - but there would be no working aircon, no functioning speedo / odo other dials.. no driving / fog lights, etc etc..

putting an R33 dash into A31 would be easy. 3M tape... few screws here n there - easy..

...getting dash looms, electrics and switches to WORK and communicate from a mid 90's skyline platform to a late 80's platform would be another thing all together i imagine...

one of the nicer dash conversions would be the A31 that ironchef is trying to sell at the moment.. it's a C33 dash with flock trim.. analog clock and digital climate control.

nic personally i think that you should buy it btw - i reckon you'd love it - your love for cefiro should not be stamped out just yet!!!!

no offense and not offended at all bro..

i fitted r33 dash on my a31 as well.. a lot of cutting here n there needed to be done especially near the firewall.. air-con? no problem at all.. everything fits perfectly..

the main reason i fit in the dash is the ease of wiring it.. all i have to is take out all of the old a31 wiring and fit in the new r33 wiring.. dash is working perfectly except for fuel gauge as it doesnt reads the real fuel capacity due to different shape of tanks between the 2 models..

but the gaps.. fuhhh.. a lot... especially on the side and nothing much can be done with it.. the dash also sits too low in a31 because the build of r33's firewall is a lot more higher than a31..

hahah..thats my friends car in the pic...guys...here in malaysia....r32 and r33 dash is a common fit and replacement to a31 cefiro...just a lot to be count....and just to let you all know....all the dash console, aircond climate controll, even aircond vent system is working nice here....even here in malaysia cefiro owners already fit in jzx90 dash...hahah..i will snap a pic when going for a cefiro malaysia a31 gathering every saturday...

but fitting this dashboard will have some gap issue that mostly notice at doorside but not that mush...only an inch and usually they go with fibrework to fill the gap...and wallah!!

but hahahahah.....there is one more dash that can fit 100% like OEM a31 dash..the lining is perfect and match with the doors lining...but you guys have to wait...it a surprise!!

Sure mate that'd be good.

Ceffy dash looks better IMO but hey, atleast stagea dash fixes that cursed broken air con vent surround, and the lifting vinyl and shit, good upgrade where Laurel dash isnt available.
