Hey all,

I am considering selling my Hotbodies Lightning Stadium 2 Pro.

Its as per the RTR kit with some minor upgrades:

Axial .28RR motor

GO ENGINE Race pipe

NIMH 1800mah hump pack

Ive had the thing for about 6 months and am hardly using it. I have a 1/10 touring that takes all my time so this is really not getting much use at all.

Its a great truggy, Ive seen it 5 meters in the air stable, its good fun.

The carbs out of tune and all my glow plugs are abit long in the tooth, but im sure I can supply a new glow plug for the $2.50 their worth lol.

Links to what it is:

http://www.hbeurope.com/kit.php?partNo=66786〈=en

Will come with 3+L of fuel, glow warmer, remote etc etc etc etc etc. Everything needed to pull the cord and have the thing run and jump off whatever u throw it at. Try not to hit anything tho (esp urself) as it will do like 80kmh across grass or dirt.

Price: $500

Pics on request. Its in good condition, bar the shell being scratched up as expected and 1 of the body posts being snapped off.

P.S. will trade for items of interest to a R33 GTST. No cash adjustments your way tho, Im selling this to make money not give it away.

Cheers,

Still available guys, am willing to swap for items of use to an R33 GTST.

550cc+ injectors, ecu options, 300kmh dash, intercoolers, that sort of thing.

Keep in mind this comes with everything you need to do 80kph across grass or dirt and will cop jumping 2 meters in the air no problem.

I am also SOMEWHAT flexible on the price.

Pull start or starter box? What sort of radio man, 2.4ghz or rtr futaba gear?

Currently has a pullstarter but will come with the rotorstarter and hardware (i have it from the original motor but not installed to the axial).

Radio is the RTR gear, high hopes for a 2.4g set at that price :D

You linked the pro, but said rtr. Didn't know if you meant it is the pro and you've set it up to be rtr, or that it is the pro rtr. Either way, DX2's can be had for under $150 now.

But yeah, RC prices in Aus are ridiculous.... I can get a kyosho 777 st-rr pro kit for around 750 delivered from the US but rchobbies.com.au has the old inferno ST-R kit for over $800 ;) I usually get my stuff from the US.

GL with the sale, some pics of it may help.

IDK what the original motor is, you sure the backplate will fit on the axial?

They arent cheap no, my price is fair as is but i am mildly neg

This is the 2nd edition pro kit with RTR running gear, everything hopped up out of the box. It was a short run and is no longer available. I remember seeing it on the HB euro site for 800+ as a chassis kit.

Costed me abit from the US too, I just am not into nitro tho.

Will trade for a HB cyclone rolling chassis + decent brushless system also.

Cheers.

Shows everything you will get, which is everything you need to run it.

Keep in mind that motor is not stock, neither is the exhaust and there is also a NiMh pack hiding in the receiver box. For the listed price I will supply a charger for the NiMh pack, Ill also supply the stock saddle pack for 4xAA's.

Cheers,

    • Yeah I've had too many issues with knock off's on the BMW's. I don't want to do a job twice or more because the parts are shit.
    • I read this and thought "ah! I will do this scissor jack on the tow point thing!" I just use my floor/low profile/costco jack and lift the car up by the tow hook itself, then slide jack stands under. Never thought about using scissor into floor jack combo :p
    • Well, my new WMI system took much longer to finalize. I actually missed my dyno appointment last Friday and lost my 150$ deposit. I'll be going back in the next week or two.  To sum it up. I only kept the AEM tank from my old setup. I replaced the AEM pump with a higher flow/pressure ProMeth 30GPH pump. I also swapped over to a 6AN low pressure feed line to the pump from the tank. There's also a pressure switch you cannot see on the pump high pressure line.    This is feeding 6x 200CC direct port nozzles and 1x 500CC Pre Throttle body nozzle. All fittings are Swagelok, because well why not. I also have a 300PSI pressure sensor up front.    I now have my Haltech ECU controlling everything. I start my pump with a basic relay at 5PSI and deadhead it. I then PWM a 3000CC methanol Injector to control flow starting around 10psi. The pressure switch in the trunk, along with my tank level are safeties before I ever get to 10PSI, and then I use my pressure sensor upfront as a secondary safety to cut the WMI and corrections in case the injector blocks or a line ruptures.  Wish me luck on the dyno!
    • So, I'm back with bad news. There's no jack long enough on this planet that will reach the front subframe. If by some chance there is, it would weigh 200lb's.  I purchased a long reach jack... The damn thing weighted 120lb's and was massive. Didn't even come close, was still short at least a foot. It was a pain, but I brought it back. Next I decided HA! No problem, I'll get an Extra long reach jack. Well, I couldn't lift the box... It must have weighed 160LB's and luckily there was an open box in store. I took measurement and was still nowhere close.  Sadly I've lost hope and have accepted defeat.
    • Thanks for that tip, niZmO_Man. I think the battery is OK. It's quite a new one, but I'll check. Last time I needed a new battery, everything electronic was fine, except that there wasn't enough current to turn over the starter. I decided to order one of the partial AV system translation CDs from Car Audio Workshop in NZ. That might have some effect, or help me diagnose the date problem. 🤞
