as thread says...

need to get my shitter tuned when i get my nisstune done

a)does a stag FIT on a car trailer

b)will a stag be able to tow another stag (

c)kidafa whats ur towbar rated to?)

d)kidafa... both a and b being yes... ur towwing me :D

I towed my stag with my mates BA falcon ute. It fit quite happily on the servo-hired trailer. It did hang off the back a bit though but the weight was still centred over the wheels so no biggie. We worked out that the poor 4L engine was dragging along near 4tonnes of lard

The towbar was only rated to 1600kg :D

The ute handled it fine, except for the exhaust snapping off half way home from Canberra to Sydney. I think that was just an interesting coincidence rather than load-related though

I used my brothers Ford Ranger, 2.5lt turbo desiel 2x4 ute, to tow my stagea once before. It did it fairly effortlessly. The stagea just fitted on the trailer I used, the ass was hanging off the end by about 600mm.

Just make sure you check the trailer your going to use will let the nose of the stagea sit over the front rail if you need it to. I had to sit mine over a little to get a good weight balance on the tow ball.

There are a few people that use their stagea's to tow track cars, but they would be lighter than a stagea, as long as you used a good dual axel braked car trailer and set it up right I don't think there would be a problem using a stagea to tow. It's only going to be a shortish trip anyway isn't it

Saw a Stagea towing an R33 once. Also watched it sway left and right down the freeway.

Depending on your state laws about legal towing limits. If you're towing a Stagea with a Stagea then you're over the limit.

Makes it easy for the police to work out you're over the limit.

Be smart about it or your could lose 2 cars and a trailer. Or some points and a fine.

Just over the QLD border the NSW police used to make people leave their trailers where they got stopped.

It's your choice and that was just my 2 cents.

how far do you actually need to tow the car?

last time i got one of my cars towed, morphett vale - marion it only cost $40.00 thats less than the cost of hiring a trailer

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
