ok im trying to turn my stock r33 GTS-T into something more powerful and i understand that when you hit a certain kw rating things need to be upgraded or replaced. ive done the usual mods exhaust, turbo, intercooler etc. but now ive come to a standstill and dont know what to do next and whether large mods like forged pistons, cam gears or gearbox modifications are even required at this stage or if they are even necessary. so heres what ive done so far

Splitfire coilpacks

front mount intercooler

exedy hd clutch

turbo upgrade (GT-RS)

Apexi Pod filter

Apexi mkII evolution dual exhaust

hi-flo cat

stainless steel front and dump pipe

GOING IN NEXT WEEK:

Apexi Power fc +hc

SARD 850cc injectors

NGK iridium spark plugs

Z32 afm

everything else is stock at this stage, im thinking fuel pressure regulator next or at the same time as the injectors. in what order should i do these

ps: im not interested in any1 willing to take the piss out of this as i am new to the industry!

you pretty much have all you are going to need for that turbo. no real point building the motor as you shouldn't have any issues running that turbo on the stock internals. also no point getting a fuel pressure reg. thos injectors may be a touch of overkill though. 750cc ones would probably be a bit better (bigger injectors sometimes make the car harder to tune a steady idle).

but you pretty much have everything you need. you have the intake sorted, you have the exhaust sorted, you have the clutch sorted, you have the turbo sorted, ecu sorted and fuel sorted. probably only other thing i would suggest is getting a fuel pump put in at the same timeas, or before, the tune is done. oh and a boost controller to wind the boost up. no point having bigger injectors if the fuel pump can't supply enough fuel once you wind the boost up.

oh and you didn't mention a boost controller. get one and then screw the boost up to about 18psi and you should see 250kw easily (so about a 50-70kw increase on what you currently have)

you can get a boost controller for the pfc. partly depends on what the wastegate is set at on the turbo and whether it's adjustable or not. if it's adjustable then just use that. personally i'd just use a turbotech manual boost controller. it's cheap and works well. i'm not a big fan of electronic boost controllers. way too expensive for such little gain.

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
