you could always try somewhere else to go and park i know another web site tried a few places and there is one down the road (about 5 min away from aspley maccas) bunnings warehouse massive car parks and a few exists as well (just in case) the other web site said they where not bothered down there at all,the problem with aspley is that it gets to crowded and draws attention to it self, the smaller the meet the less attention.

Less people is more boring, its not the amount of people its the type of people. If you get people doing burnouts and screwing around the cops are always going to get over it and start charging/inspecting everything! A meet with some decent people at a decent spot is always good...but lets be serious its not that easy..tools usually rock up and ruin the fun. I am only saying that from what ive been toled so far aspley maccas and roma street carpark are the only decent place to go on a thursday night, anyone with otherwise suggestions, lets here them?

Myself in a black r33 (www.boostimports.boostcruising.com and now with a super dagger xhuast) and a red Supra RZ and maybe a two tone silver r33 (stock kit) will be popping into Milton and Roma St on thursday night around 8.30ish

This is like our 1st time out to this kinda meeting spots, so yeah. Come say hi if u bored

do people still go to kangaroo point? I know most of the redline crew go down there from milton about 6 months ago. or what about somewhere near annerley or breaky creek.

some good lookouts and car parks around those areas. Or maybe we should jsut park in the police station so we arent hiding anything.

What about Bunnings at Carseldine...??? Huge carpark has a Subway...but the fact is only after 9 would you venture anywhere near there...

Aspley is getting bigger...I have lived their most of my life and decided to buy just up the road...just so I can look out the window and check who is out and about :)

To be honest it works in cycles it will be big for two weeks and then a crack down, the new security guard has been hired for most nights and even Saturday and Sunday last week as there were 2 cruises that left that carpark, a Commodore one...and a Redline cruise...I actually spoke to him on Sunday as he was in the bottle shop and he said that he was not allowed to let anyone with a modded car to park in certain areas UNLESS they were genuine customers...what ever that means

Really i think that's a load of crap, they can't descriminate against modded cars being alowed to park there. They can say for customers only but they cant kick modded cars out and allow stock commos n pulsars to park there. I think thats getting a bit rediculous. I like the idea of parking outside the cop shop :) maybe we should go there first let them check out the car and get a clear slate for the night...however if they tried they could probably find something wrong with almost any car not to mention a modded one! Roma street sounds like the go....may check out aspley but by the sounds of things it might not be worth the hassle. Boostimports ill keep a look out for u, im not coming down til the 5th but if anyones out my plates are 33NIZ hence my name. I'll be with nismo_boy (josh) from here, so if anyone see's us feel free to say hi.

well you can't just sit in a carpark that is private property.. make a mess, buy about $5 worth of stuff if they're lucky and just drive off genuine customers.. THAT is what shits them..

fark there are plenty of back factories and the rest where you can do whatever you like..hanging out at public places where everybody goes is kinda lame - but i guess its fun to show off sometimes..la de da..

--33NIZ - 6 mnths ago i had a racing clutch installed by SUB ZERO gold coast and i will never go back there, last moth had my FMIC installed by Gilmour Developments, been over charged and not really happy with all the work that was supposed to be done. WELL, we have a problem guys, where do we take our Loved Ones :D Chapman and Chapman will sit in your car and listen to the engine then will charge you $600 special tuning, Mike Vine will clean your account too but heared he does a good job(if you're Rich) . please tell me whats Gavin Woods like?

you said "A meet with some decent people at a decent spot is always good...but lets be serious its not that easy.." very true, i wish there were more people who think like you, unfortunately there're too many who just got their licence and bought a Skyline yet can't drive and causing us Skyliners BAD name with the authorities.

and finaly, Not All Suburbs made equal, just ask we'll tell ya :(

--NismoGirl - thanks for all the meet info but i think little Brissy has many good places and so called macca's is alright if you're 15 or looking for fight especially in Aspley(no offend Aspley dudes) and about that incident with knifes and guns, yes that did happend unfortunately it's none of our Skyline dudes, just some local Bogans. we already have Too much attention driving our Best looking cars in town so no need for extra;)

Roma st sounds alright but still on a main rd and infront of roma st police station...hhhmmm..

--NA_R33 - yep Aspley macca's still loaded with them But not all(check at your own risk) ;)

--The_Paladin - well well, what are you on? :) driving a VOLVO and joining a Skyline forum...hahahaha.... you must be from Aspley right?

--PREDATOR - thank god there's someone with brains here, yes, you nailed it man, so true about macca's and that area.

--chaos - or shall i say the Macca's Boy or shall i say the Whistler, what car are you driving?

looks to me that you're just a passenger, i thought this is a forum(club) for SKYLINE owners, hhhmmm...

--wados - brilliant idea, bunnings warehouse, true, plenty of exits, love it. 1 prob mate, we're still in Aspley :D unless we try other bunnings

--boostimports - sounds great , i'll call my skyline mates too and we'll c ya there around 20:30, p.s. i checked your web page, nice ride man .

--Zoix - excellent spots, i use to hang around there too, k/point was good plenty of space, b/creek i haven't tried yet but i know the parking area is not so big. yep, i agree you should just all drive to Roma st police station and park infront of it, no hiding anymore :) Nah ,

pak em, 1st find then catch me :D

--knore - even u agree, Good , we shall meet there next time , lets arrange it.

Southport is Big, and has for a few years BUT , everytime i go there i get pulled over, and at the c/park cops are doing Full checkups on cars together with QLD rd and safety inspectors. last time i was there i nearly forgot to remove my ?/detector from the screen and as i drove in from the rear entrance a cop car which was behind a few tree with the lights off spotted me and i think they saw something on my screen, i ripped it off but they followed me and my mate in a white R33 so i drove around through all the lanes hoping they will go till i found a spot to park, they waited for me to park then stopped had a good look at my car from there car and luckily drove off. Man, i think we have better places to go then southport :) we can make our own here in Brissy, plenty bunnings car parks. me and mates usually meet at indro(indooroopilly) shop/centre , plenty skylines there but not many parking spaces as it's always Full, besdies Sunday ;)

Well, i think i've covered ALL this page

c ya on th/day park rd

please excuse my ignorance but i was always under the impression aspley maccas was always just filled with bogans or is it better now??

I was there at some point last week. It was me with my 32, and 2 friends both with 180's, and I had some wank screaming out of the BACK SEAT (I guess the wanker doesn't even own a f***ing car) of an old, beaten-to-shithouse Torana (that sounded Terrible :bang: ) take you're f***ing skyline home poofter or something to that very tune. Then they tried to impress me by doing a one wheel line lock (and no it was so very far from impressive) while yelling 'let's see your f***ing skyline do that'...

It's really the quality of character that makes me want to go back there :inlove: :(

So to answer your question in a word - no - tis no better

Michael

Depends when you go there, yes the bogan eliment is still there...the good ol show us the open wheeler diff one wheel try hard skids ruin it for most people...I usually go there with like minded people, usually after the bogans run out of beer and realise that they start work in the factory stamping number plates in an hour...

my mate drove his white R33 Skyline to Jindalee(western suburb), as he approached the main roundabout they were 2 burning tyres so he stopped, suddenly 2 hoons on cycles threw a huge brick on his bonnet and took off through the field, there's no way he could catch em by foot, well, bad luck for him, right. NO,the point is guys if you really appreciate your cars then you would think twice were to go, although i know a few TOUGH guys(yeah right) who say

" i'll kill anyone touches my car " but even though, it's too late mate :(

so bunnings park/lot and k/roo pt, Milton and Mt Cootha, Yep i'll be there:)

but tonigh guys it's milton 20:30

c ya there

    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
    • I wanted to try and preserve the front bumper as long as possible, they're not cheap and are made to order in Japan. Taking inspiration from my previous K11 Micra build where I made an undertray for the Impul bumper, I did the same for this BN Sports bumper but a little slimmed down.  This time round I only made a 'skid plate' (if that's the correct wording/term) for just the bumper surface area, the Micra version covered the gap like an undertray. Starting off with a sheet of mild steel approx. 0.9mm thick 4ft x 2ft in size. I traced around the bumper, cut it out and cleaned the edges. Luckily I was able to get two halves from one piece of metal In the video I installed it as is, but I've since then I've removed it to spray and add a rubber edging trim. The rubber trim is suitable for 1-2mm and it's a really nice tight fit. The bolts had to be loosened due to the plates being too tight against the bumper, the trim wouldn't push on I used some stainless M6 flat headed bolts for a flusher finish (rather than hex heads poking down), I believe this style fastener is used for furniture too incase you struggle to source some. The corner's are a little wider, but this may be an advantage incase I get close to bumping it  The front grill got some attention, finally getting round to repairing it. Upon removal one fixing pulled itself out of the plastic frame, one side is M8 that fixes inside of the frame, where as the other side is M5. Not knowing I could get replacements, I cut down an M8 bolt, threaded it inside the frame along with a decent amount of JB Weld.  The mesh was replaced to match the bumper. One hole on the bonnet/hood had to be drilled out to 8mm to accommodate the new stud, once the glue had set it could be refitted. I think the reason the grill was double meshed was to hide the horn/bonnet latch (which makes sense) but I much prefer it matching the bumper Bumper refitted and it's looking much better IMO The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVZP35io9MA
    • The video for the servicing and fuel filter change can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLJ65pmQt44 One of the main jobs I wanted to do before the car officially went on the road, was to remove the awful looking blue silicone hoses. There's nothing wrong with having coloured silicone hoses, but I realise as I'm getting older I prefer monotone engine bays with a splash of colour on the engine cover(s). I cover this in a lot more detail in the Youtube video, so unfortunately there's limited photos of the process. The intercooler, upper radiator, boost vacuum and upper breather hoses were all changed to black silicone with mikalor clamps. The only blue left is a blanking cap at the back of the inlet manifold and the GReddy pulleys (which will be replaced for stock when the cambelt gets replaced) While the intercooler pipes were off I gave them a quick clean/polish too A before photo I do have a replacement air filter on its way. Fuse box covers were painted blue, they're now satin black Another job on the list while the bumper was off, is to add some mesh https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54737966256_99b28bfa30_c.jpg[/img] I was hoping to use some thin wire to secure it, but it seems I've misplaced it and the wire I had was too thick to twist easily. I ended up using cable ties for the time being https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54737131882_c2b7989dcc_c.jpg[/img] Was pleasant to see this https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54737131627_8b2aab13b3_c.jpg[/img] The last thing to do was to fix the front grill and re-mesh that to match but I ran out of time The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4FsF6tgizE&t=23s
