ok so i think im going to change to 5 stud and i have a couple quick questions.

front .. if i have s13 stubs/axles will an s14 hub just fit over the s13 stub ie the axle is the same size?

rear .. i have z31 rear hubs will these fit inside the standard dr30 brake discs ie leaving only the new hole spacing to be drilled ? or better yet just swap to a z31 rear disc?

if there is more to this please let me know

Cheers Marc

Not sure about the rear, but the front you will need s14/s15 hubs AND knuckles.

Alternatively, you can buy 5 stud hubs that suit s13 knuckles of usa ebay and such, cheap and supplied with new bearings.

Heard good and bad about them

Cheers

Come on Dennis give me a little Credit!

the 5 stud idea is so i can fit some very cool wheels iv been able to find and im not sure how changing the stud pattern constitutes huge aftermaket mods?

And yeah i am pinching pennys where ever i can to save me money on this car, i dont have lots of coin so ill save it where i can.

I have an idea for it and ill stick to it! iv never said i want to keep it stockish in saying that i want the interior stockish. i just want to keep it old school Jap Cool.

Now maybe you have in this case been confused cause i have the car thats already a 2.2leter and verious other mods.?

I am disapointed you made that post as i thought we got on well?

Sorry Marc, but as you know, I wasn't alone in Melbourne and you know another on this forum was there as well and all 3 of us got the impression you were really strapped for cash.

I do understand there is a greater selection of wheels in 5 stud pattern, but the selection in 4 stud isn't far behind. I guess you have found what your looking for and want to change your hubs to suit. Nothing looks worse than a 20+ year old car with new shite & briny wheels.

My idea of these classics is to keep them to the genre they were manufactured in and keep searching till I find what I like in the fashion it has to be. You might think I'm not nice but that's how I see it & on the occassion we met in Melbourne, I wasn't alone.

Just as an example, I have about 4 or 5 pairs of hot plate tail lights, but all grey background, yet the PNV had black out of the factory and I just paid 60000 yen on yahoo + all of the domestic + EMS freight & commissions which will end up being about AU$1150.00 delivered to keep the car authentic. I have also bought from Nissan a set of the chrome mouldings that go on the doors & rear window sills. Another AU$600.00, because the originals are damaged, to make the car concourse condition.

Cheers, D

    • Out of curiosity, how do you cover up the inspection hole? Surely it doesn't sit open like that, right? With grime and dirt coming in and oil going out?
    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything
