Some pricks stole my carbon B-Pillars AND my rear center licence plate light - RIGHT in front of my house! I'm pissed off... What do you guys use to permanently attach these things?

And yes, I need B-Pillars and a rear rear center licence plate light (R34). Anyone who's in Melbourne and have these items for sale, please let me know ASAP 0411 389 062.

LOL, I think the person that stole it must have got a R34 as well, because I'm pretty sure that a normal person wouldn't really know the way how the B-pillars comes off.

Sorry to hear it got stolen tho :(

lol owned.. thieving c*nts! what suburb do you live in? did yours have nismo carbon fibre stick on covers? and who steals a number plate light??? jeez... cheap bastards!

i had one of my b-pillar plastic bits fly off as i was on the track at sandown... $110 to replace from nissan. i used double sided tape to make sure it stayed on. but a thief could still rip it off, so maybe try sticking it on with superglue if you're sure you wont ever need to remove it :( Maybe whoever stole it had one of theirs fly off and they didn't want to pay to replace it

GTTR34, I'm in Hoppers Crossing! When I woke up to vote at about 9AM, it was still there. Got back home and it was gone :(

$110 to replace from Nissan? That's pretty cheap for originals! Did they have to order them in?

I'm worried to drive the GTT at night cause cops these days are tight. Getting pulled over for a "broken" licence plate light (which is missing) is not what I'm after :(

I'll give them a call first thing in the morning, thanks GTTR34 :(

blk94r33, would Sikaflex work? If not, looks like I gotta grab some Windscreen Sealant :(

If you put Sikaflex on it you will never get it off again. But maybe that is what you what by the sounds of it.

Do a police report and if you get pulled over show them the report and tell them that nissan have to order them from japan and your waiting for it to arrive, should give you some breathing room.

Sikaflex is basically the same stuff, so yeah it'd work, and g35me is right, good luck getting it off if you ever need to... :)

lol dude the chances of the same person losing the same parts is pretty slim so next time they are more likely to steal something else that they need rather then the same thing, so u cant really stick it on there so it can never come off haha, maybe if u do that with everything in your car

You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
    • You think its the AFM? I know its a common issues on R32s. I find it coincidental how this issue raised right after cleaning the fuel system. As everything except the fuel system was fine before. I tried running it with the IACV unplugged but did not notice a difference and still stalled. However, the RPM gauge is not in the cluster right now, so I will need to connect the laptop again and use Nistune to check the RPM. I will check this weekend.
