I just recently had my old BOV replaced with HKS SSQV, even went the option of getting a plate made up as to fit it in the standard BOV mounts. The return has been blocked off and vac line of course hooked up.

Now it ran fine for the first drive but on the way to a friends I started having boosting issues, as in it wouldn't boost smooth. Then it was misfiring if I was at low rpm and put my foot down a little.

On the way back it wouldn't idle without wanting to die and now it just flat wont start or if it does its only for a few seconds then stalls. Smells really rich in fuel the short time it is running.

Any ideas on how to fix this and what it is?

i am assuming the bov is an atmo and not a plumb back if thats the case then usually this sort of thing happens, doesnt matter if you have an intercooler piping set up or in standard position, if you have got a aftermaket ecu a tune can sometimes fix the issue although your better off just taking the bov back off. sorry champ

Does anyone in Brisbane have a standard RB20 BOV they want to sell me?

I dont have the standard, never did. Bought the car with a turbosmart copy plumb back on there, only reason I swapped over was because it died. The end cap de threaded its self and I lost all of the internals on the highway

    • Plan on the day will be to park trackside. Depending on space availability we will try put a small shade tent and a few of the cars on top of the hill inside turn 3, this is an easy to get to parking area with views of Turn 2, Turn 3, Turn 4 and Turn 5 and limited other pieces of the view around the track. IMPORTANT NOTE! One consideration from previous years is from memory the trackside parking sells out before the admission tickets, for that reason I encourage anyone planning on coming to buy tickets for parking now via the official website; https://www.worldtimeattack.com/ The type of parking you are looking for is 2 Day Park & View (Access Around Venue) Vehicle Pass Only Please note this does not include admission to the event itself, remember to grab that also, and kids under 12 get in for free!

    • Good time for a carbon roof
    • Not in any way aroused by any of those, except maybe the big AMGs. And that would break my never a Euro, ever, rule.
