Ecu Dramas

Ok the other day while driving to work the check engine light came on and the car went in to limp mode. After extracting fault code 13 and replacing the sensor, the ecu will not reset and I cant get diagnostic mode to start. I have checked all the connections to the ecu and all seems fine, Just wondering if there might be a relay or anything else that might be stuffed. Have checked 34 wiring diagram but cant make much sense of the shitty diagrams i can find, any help or ideas would be appreciated,
