Make sure the torque split converter is working on purchase, as it costs upwards of $2000 to get new genuine G sensor if thats been damaged installing the torque split controller, could even mean it's a 2WD GTR at the moment.

The only real problem I see if it still has the factory crankshaft in, the '89 got the one with the small oil drive which are known to kill oil pumps, though with the N1 pump they most likely put a crank collar on it. I'd be asking if it's a R33 crank in there.

Judging by the mods and engine parts alone, it could easily do 400kw+ safely, though it will be a fairly laggy daily with -5 turbos and a large intercooler as -5s are meant for 350kw+, not for 300-340kw.

That's just my opinion, would make an awesome track car though.

Up to you (the buyer) whether it's worth it.

It's _very_ unlikely that the car's done 111k kms, given it's age and price.

An engineered car (check; people have been known to make less-significant stuff up) means

that a registered signatory has signed off on all the modifications. Make sure that it's really

engineered (i.e. the cert lists all the changes and that the cert was signed by a registered

signatory. Call them to check).

One question that's worth asking is 'how many registerable 300kw cars can you buy for $18k?'.

I would guess 'not many'.

Good luck with your decision.

Cheers,

SW

This car has been for sale for a very long time, its the Champagne gold one with non factory front bar on CarSales isnt it? It was for sale ages ago and was running PFC etc and making more power then it is at the moment.

Find out what is wrong with the torque split converter, as said, could be $$$ to fix if its shagged and speak to the guys that built the motor etc to get some history on the car.

Looks nice and clean from what I remember.
