Yeah a Club Drag Day would be good. This is the kind of event the Club intends to run. There is a good balance of circuit v. drag oriented interest in the membership. We would probably have to get an other club or two involved to get the numbers required.

However, there are hoops we have to jump through to be able to do this. Probably the biggest issue is getting our members trained and cerified as Officials.

As always, please put your hand up if you are interested in becoming a flag marshall, Steward etc. :P

Whilst their is a good amount of "interest" their are not many people who are actually attending the current events (except for Drift Days).

I've never seen more than about 3-4 drag/circuit attendee's at any event.

(before you start :flamed: me, my brake problems are fixed now all I need is tyres  )

That's because the club has never had a drag event, and last year we regularly had 10 or so at a midweek circuit event.

There haven't been many events of late (summer hols to blame) so it appears though attendance is down when in fact there were just very few events.

I think forums is a passing fad and alot did leave to SNSW.

A few new guys come on here and there and think its the bees knees hahaha.

Its a good place to share info and make friends. Some people move on. Some people get bored and dont post anymore.

Yeah well I've been the admin of a forum about this size once. That was several years ago and the popularity grew so quickly that we (myself and 3 others) couldn't keep up with the demand on the hardware and bandwidth (was costing $600usd / month). Then overnight, it was infested by people who knew everything about everything, regular flame wars, hack attempts, and the golden days (as we used to call them) were forever gone. The community soon collapsed and we bailed out. Overall, I guess it took about 3 years for it to kick the bucket. Personally, I had (as we 4 all did) quite noble intentions and the community was close, but I ended up spending so much time on the forums that I lost the reason why I was there in the first place. Anyway, I hope that doesn't happen here. Cars, however, are more real than rpg making software - like what my forum was about :D

Back to the topic, why wait on our arses for WSID to become available when there are pleanty of industrial estates around? ROFL! :flamed: :Bang: :burnout:

the way i see it is

SAU = focus on cars

SNSW = focus on social events.

We (SkylinesNSW.com) have had harbour cruises, fishing days, LAN nights.

Whereas SAU seems to be more focused on trackdays, driver training.

i was gonna say the same as ed....

us guys from SNSW see each other at least 2 or 3 times a week, pretty much everyone who posts is part of a close circle of friends which can be quite daunting for any new members that may sign up. So we created an introduction forum so newbies can get to know everyone & feel a bit more at ease. The posting on the forums did definately slow down for a while, but things are certainly picking up again.

All that said though....If I want technical info without retarded joke answers, SAU or PF are much, much better resources any day of the week.

    • You'lll likely have to make do with R33 GTR for engine/tranny stuff, and Stagea for the body. I don't know that there's even been an actual diagram seen in the wild.
    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
