So I paid 5k for the engine box and conversion, now there telling me the neo box won't fit in my 32, has any one done this conversion before? Will it fit? am I getting jibbed? If it doesn't fit r33 s2 box next best option? Any one want to trade r34 gtt manual gearbox for a s2 r33 det box? Help

Hey mate thanks for the info, so the r33 gear box is the same size hey, mmm I don't no why there saying they can't fit it, do u know of any one who has fit a neo box in a 32?

im pretty sure there simliar to r33 gtst box just abit better...many people on here have put rb25 boxs behind there rb20/25s ..id say there trying to rip you off dude

Hey man thanks for the help, they told me thy it won't fit because it's to big! But if what ur saying is right that they are the same size, these guys must not know there cars. My bro inlaw has a 25 det box from a 33 and that fit fine. Anymore info would be a bog help

Ask them WHY it won't fit.. because physically, I believe the only difference is the slave cylinder/how it bolts up as 34GTT is a pull type clutch.

It is a tight squeeze as our tunnels are meant for the RB20 box which is a lot smaller, but it IS doable. There are also plenty of people about with 25Neo/box conversions in their 32's.

Oh awesome! I'll go down there Monday and have a word to these guys. If they still believe it won't fit just have to take the gearbox somewhere else, hopefully they give me sum money back for not putting the box in, then again I did pay 5k for the engine loom comp and box including labour they just haven't put the box in.

Hey mate if they fit it what has to be modified? Tailshaft what else? Plus I need a good clutch?

Gearbox crossmember, tailshaft and speedo drive.

If you have spare coin then you might as well chuck a decent clutch in there now because there will be so much super happy fun time with a bigger engine in the 32 that I envisage you destroying the stock clutch pretty quickly :P

Haha I spoke to a few machz today, told me it's much easier to fit the 33 box so I'm going to find sum1 to trade it with or just sell it. Yee I got a mate that works at fast fit his gonna get me a decent clutch from exedy. Can't wait to see what this neo engine feels like when I open it up. Gonna get the power fc this week

:P

    • They are, a good friend of mine bought one to replace his blow factory turbo, running a Toshi Tune reflash. Just use their supplied water/oil lines and you're good to go. At the time, they were like $900 delivered.
    • This is an option for 100% bolt on, the GCG high flow -  https://gcg.com.au/turbo-charger-upgrade-skyline-gtst-2iu-xtrgts-s1.html Also, I'm pretty sure hypergear does a high flow that is 100% bolt on, it just doesn't make as much power as their bigger high flows.  Even if you get a hypergear turbo that requires you to chance the intake piping, it is a really simple modification. It can be as simple as a piece of silicon hose and you pop a filter on the end. It doesn't have to be some crazy pie cut titanium work of art intake pipe.  If you have the ability to swap the turbo yourself, you would be able to sort the intake piping out.
    • Just as a thought, if it's in neutral, thats your drive line disconnect, not the clutch. Clutch slip at the dyno with pedal fully out, is actually adding a second disconnect. So it's not a clutch issue if you're in neutral. Just a bit of friction dragging the output around while in the air.
    • The HG high flow is excellent, and costs about the $$ you're talking about. But it, and probably every other highflow, uses a diffeent core than the original turo, and the original Hitatchi core is quite long. So, I think it is inevitable that there is likely no such thing as a highflow that just "bolts on" with no other effort required. And the same is likely true for HG's outright replacement "bolt on" turbos (the ATR things). And the same is likely true for anything similar from elsewhere. I have no idea if the cheap Chinese/Taiwanese complete turbos from eBay/Temu/etc are as bolt on as they claim. I mean, they claim the bolt onto the NAs as well as the turbos, and we know that can't be "bolt on". But it wouldn't matter because I'm not buying a $169 4 psi turbo for anything other than a paddock basher.
    • Bummer...yeah i "need" something to "ease" up the work and for my driving it would be enough.    Iam counting the tune "without" turbo. I do not mean "cheap" like something from Temu around 200 USD, "Cheap" is something around 1000 USD?
