Bosch 040 Or 044

Ive got a bosch fuel pump left over from my last project not sure if its an 044 or an 040. The 040 is an in tank pump and the 044 is an inline pump. Which one will fit in my series 2 C34 stagea? Im assuming the 040 cause its an intank but what if its an 044, can it still be used?

well if your taking it out of one tank and putting it in another tank it shouldn't matter which one it is should it?

it can still be used. an 044 is a little large to easily fit in the cradle, and you will have issues getting the pick up low enough....but it can be done

From a quick search:

go into your local spare parts shop and get a replacement sock/filter to suit a v8 efi falcon.

you can then plumb that directly into your 044. a few fittings from pirtek and your away.
